Research Focus Areas

Graphical printing

Elaboration of new approaches and solutions for packaging printing on a variety of different materials and shapes with good adhesion and a consistently high quality; development of finishing methods for printed products including sophisticated, visual and tactile effects.

Material printing

Development of new generative processes (additive manufacturing) for the production of functional layers (2D), multi-material 3D objects (3D printing), structures with inhomogeneous properties and printed low-cost sensors.

Printing in life science

Development of new, volumetric micro and nano dosing principles for screening applications, development of printing systems for bio applications starting with the production of human tissues, a stepping stone towards the production of fully-functioning organs.
